Volleyball Recap: York Gets the Win

York won the last time they faced Proviso West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dukes came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dukes.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant York was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-10.

Amalia Toliopoulos paced York's offense, picking up five kills. Toliopoulos got some help from Elyse Smith and her 12 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

York's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Proviso West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

York has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Downers Grove South on the 9th. Proviso West has also already played their next contest (against Proviso East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
