The Nottoway Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Prince Edward County by a score of 79-70. The victory was just what Nottoway needed coming off of a 71-48 loss in their prior game.
Anton Carter Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 13 games he's played. D'aunte Watson was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.
Nottoway's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Prince Edward County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
Nottoway will head out on the road to take on the Statesmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prince Edward County, they will be playing at home against the Dukes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
