Fans got a thrill when Ryan Clarke and Stephen Rogers connected against Pequannock. The connection was good for 70 yards, the longest such play in Northwest Jersey - Independence this season.
Shea Bongiovanni of Hopatcong ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against the Golden Panthers last week. Bongiovanni scampered for 67 yards on the play and finished with 77 on the day as his team bested Pequannock.
Hopatcong's dynamic duo of Clarke and Rogers proved to be unstoppable against Ed Kopp's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Clarke threw for 116 yards and 3 touchdowns and Rogers had 82 yards receiving.

Clarke put up the best numbers through the air as the Chiefs defeated Pequannock.
Rogers was the best receiver in the league this week as Hopatcong beat the Golden Panthers.
Joe Rosenski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Morris Catholic fell to Whippany Park. He completed 3 passes for 34 yards and also ran for 124 yards. Rosenski's key target this week was Wayne Patterson, who caught 2 passes for 20 yards.
Rosenski was the most successful running back in Northwest Jersey - Independence this week. Steve Lahoe also contributed to the rushing game with 115 yards on the ground.
The Chiefs' Clarke and Rogers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clarke has thrown for 218 yards this season, while Rogers, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 6 catches for 125 yards. North Warren Regional's Luke Robertson leads the league in rushing yards with 180.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Hopatcong and the Patriots face off next week.

There should be lots of points scored when the Chiefs and North Warren Regional face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Hopatcong comes in having scored 46 this season, while Matt Parzero's team has scored 55. The Chiefs scored 33 points last week as they bested Pequannock.
Hopatcong scaled the state rankings by moving to 176 from 208 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Chiefs climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Golden Panthers 33-13.
