Softball Recap: Riverview Has No Trouble Against Taylor

After only one run in their last contest, Riverview made sure to put some runs up on the board against Taylor on Friday. The Pirates blew past the Griffins 12-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Riverview got a massive performance out of Megan Southward, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Southward has posted since back in April. Sienna Logan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Riverview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Riverview's record now sits at 20-7-1. As for Taylor, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Riverview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Griffins: the pair will be back at it again later today.
