Concord-Carlisle have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Newton South at Memorial Field @ Concord Carlisle at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
Concord-Carlisle took a serious blow against Wayland two weeks ago, falling 0-35.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Boston Latin, Newton South came back down to earth. Newton South were given a punishing 0-37 loss at the hands of Wayland. Newton South's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Hopefully the teams can find a way to make up for their last outings by putting some points on the board this time.
