After a string of three wins, the Natchitoches Central Chiefs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The match between Natchitoches Central and Captain Shreve wasn't particularly close, with Natchitoches Central falling 60-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Natchitoches Central has scored all season.
Captain Shreve's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ejoshua Mcdonald led the charge by scoring 20 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jyrin Sowell, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Natchitoches Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Captain Shreve, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natchitoches Central will square off against Haughton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Captain Shreve, they will head out on the road to face off against Airline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
