The Arlington Eagles will square off against the Cascade Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Arlington, who comes in off a win.
Arlington took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Monroe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Bearcats since March 25, 2022.

Peyton Aanstad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Boekenoogen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Jaubert, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
Arlington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Lake Stevens, falling 10-1.
Cascade saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Luraghi, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Arlington, their record is now 3-4.
Cascade's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Arlington has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Cascade, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Arlington keep running through batters, or will the Bruins buck the trend?
Arlington couldn't quite get it done against Cascade when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
