Basketball Recap: Westminster Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Westminster extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Elyas Romero. The Westminster Wolves had just enough and edged the Lakewood Tigers out 65-62 thanks in part to Romero, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 15 points and four steals. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Ross, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. Ross is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quentin Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Cj Mahoney was another key player, putting up ten points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Westminster's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Westminster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-53 loss against Skyline on the 10th. As for Lakewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-56 defeat against Wheat Ridge on the 10th.
