Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Cleburne

Cleburne had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Seguin Cougars 14-4. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eden Treesh spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Cleburne got a massive performance out of Kadenze Quzma, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Carlee Kent also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cleburne's record now sits at 11-15. As for Seguin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cleburne will face off against rival Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Seguin is set to square off against their familiar foe Mansfield Summit at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
