Softball Recap: Daviess County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Daviess County proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Riverdale Warriors 7-5. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Avery Morris was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Bennett, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Daviess County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Daviess County's record now sits at 3-0. As for Riverdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Coming up, Daviess County will be playing in front of their home fans against Butler County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverdale, they will face off against South Warren at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
