Monroe Catholic took their contest against Redington last Saturday by a conclusive 34-0 score. Monroe Catholic were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Eielson put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Valdez 59-20.
Their wins bumped Eielson to 5-1 and Monroe Catholic to 5-2. With both Eielson and Monroe Catholic swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
