Given Adams Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Fillmore Central is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Fillmore Central saw an underclassman step up: Ali Nichols scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Adams Central pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.29 points. As for Fillmore Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Adams Central will be home for the holidays to greet Cross County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cross County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 304 points over their last five contests. As for Fillmore Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilber-Clatonia at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
