Canyon waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over the Caprock Longhorns. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Canyon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Caprock, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Perryton on the 13th. As for Caprock, they have also already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Lubbock on the 11th.
