Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Bogue Chitto Bobcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 43-28 bruising from Scott Central on Friday. Bogue Chitto was down 36-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scott Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyquan Bounds, who rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Chancler Burks also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Bogue Chitto's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Scott Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Bogue Chitto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Scott Central will face off against Mize at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
