The West Lincoln Rebels's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Lincolnton with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. That's another feather in the cap for West Lincoln, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Lincolnton had strong showings from Curmiya Tillman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Daphca Dyson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
West Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Lincolnton, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lincoln will square off against Bandys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bandys has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Lincolnton on the road again on Friday and play against Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bunker Hill has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
