Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pontiac). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Prairie Central Hawks 74-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-39 back in November of 2024.

Prairie Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Abi Nimbler, who posted 13 points. Nimbler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayla Hammond, who scored 14 points.

The win (which was Pontiac's third in a row) raised their record to 10-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Prairie Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-13.

Pontiac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-47 defeat against Illinois Valley Central on the 20th. Prairie Central has also already played their next contest, a 48-26 loss against Monticello on the 20th.
