Even though the Shelby-Rising City Huskies scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Twin River Titans still came out on top. Twin River skirted past Shelby-Rising City 59-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Twin River.
Among those leading the charge was Kirk Hebda, who scored 18 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Twin River's points. Another player making a difference was Paydon Rinkol, who scored 11 points.
Twin River's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Shelby-Rising City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Twin River will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lutheran-Northeast. As for Shelby-Rising City, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Bluffs on Friday.
