The Hillsboro Hiltoppers lost to the Staunton Bulldogs back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Hillsboro managed a 42-36 win over Staunton.
Nathan Matoush continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Stewart, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Hillsboro's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Staunton, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
Hillsboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-56 defeat vs. North Mac on the 9th. Staunton has also already played their next game, a 59-29 defeat against Litchfield on the 9th.
