Northside is 1-0 against Drew since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northside Patriots will be playing at home against the Drew at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Northside had to settle for a 31-28 defeat against Northgate. Northside has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Northside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aaron Osborne, who picked up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Ward Walker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Drew might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was McIntosh who claimed the real prize. Drew fell just short of McIntosh by a score of 14-12.
The losses dropped Northside to 4-4 and Drew to 3-4.
Everything came up roses for Northside against Drew when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 39-0 victory. Will Northside repeat their success, or does Drew have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
