The Argyle Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They took a hard 51-34 fall against Granville. Argyle has struggled against Granville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Granville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Paige Taylor out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Argyle bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Granville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argyle will face off against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Argyle in New York (Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons is ranked 252nd, while Argyle is ranked 541st). As for Granville, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Ann at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
