The Skyline Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Broomfield Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Skyline's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-0 win over Adams City. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Skyline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Diego Kheng, Jax Collins, and Servando Morales picked up one apiece. Collins also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Morales got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Skyline, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Miley Davis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Broomfield was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of Riverdale Ridge by a score of 16-13. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Skyline will have to keep a close watch on Kashus Clarvoe and Slater Saunders, a pair of players who had a big impact on Broomfield's prior game. Clarvoe rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns, while Saunders rushed for 88 yards on only six carries.
Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Rylee Sondrup for the heroic effort on defense: he. Broomfield didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.
Broomfield's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Gavyn Bienzle, Alexander Darby, and Donovan Brooks, who each picked up one sack apiece. Bienzle was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making three total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
Skyline pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points over those games. As for Broomfield, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Skyline has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Broomfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 226.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Skyline was taken down by Broomfield 53-16 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 53-0.
