The result was an unpleasant reminder to Juniata Christian of the 54-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Juniata Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Zavitz, who scored 15 points. It was the first time this season that Zavitz scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Wright, who scored 11 points.
Juniata Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Springfield Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Juniata Christian will be playing at home against Fostoria Baptist Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Fostoria Baptist Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Juniata Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Springfield Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lakecrest Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. Lakecrest Baptist presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Springfield Christian Academy in Michigan (Lakecrest Baptist is ranked 121st, while Springfield Christian Academy is ranked 422nd).
