The Rider Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity Christian.
Rider's loss came despite strong showings from Jared Cohee and Ty Morgan. Cohee scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Morgan scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Gavin Aday, who scored seven points.
Rider has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
Rider is on the road again on Friday and play against Paradise at 12:00 p.m. on December 15th. Trinity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burkburnett at 10:30 a.m. on December 15th. Burkburnett presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian in Texas (Burkburnett is ranked 202nd, while Trinity Christian is ranked 415th).
