The Hightstown Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 53-37 fall against Wildwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hightstown has scored all season.
Wildwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Junior Hans out in front who scored 19 points along with four steals. The game was Hans' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Troiano, who scored no points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Hightstown now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Wildwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Hightstown will be playing at home against Trenton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trenton Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Hightstown is ranked 165th). As for Wildwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Wildwood likes a good challenge.
