St. Francis Prep extended the longest winning streak in Catholic AA-A this week by beating St. Peter's, 34-26. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
St. John the Baptist took down Bishop Ford 43-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
6-foot-1 quarterback BILLY TRIGLIANOS of the Eagles is the league leader in passing yards this season with 886. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, the Falcons' Dante Aiken has rushed for 650 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Rodney Gonzales. The Bishop Ford star has 14 catches for 352 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bishop Ford takes on Cardinal Spellman. At the moment, Jim Esposito's team is in fifth, while the The Pilots are in eighth.
The Cougars led Catholic AA-A in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the Falcons.
