Henry Ford Academy came out on top against Trillium Academy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Navigators blew past Trillium Academy 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Navigators, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Evan Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Kobe White was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last 12 games he's played.

Henry Ford Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. Annapolis took their win against Henry Ford Academy in their previous matchup back in June of 2019 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Navigators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
