Wakulla Christian School has gone a perfect 7-0 against Altha recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Saints will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wakulla Christian School gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over Munroe. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.
Jay Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over 4.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Wakulla Christian School's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Wakulla Christian School got a massive performance out of Trevor Andrews, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The Saints are undefeated when Andrews posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Blaise Foulks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Wakulla Christian School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Altha never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Crossroad Academy last Wednesday. They blew past the Scorpions 28-7. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won three in a row.
Tripp Hill and Griffin Pickron did most of the damage at the plate: Hill scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Pickron scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Stone, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
Altha's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Wakulla Christian School, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wakulla Christian School has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .476. However, it's not like Altha struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wakulla Christian School took their victory against Altha in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-3 score. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
