Football Recap: Norris Skates Past Beatrice with Ease

While Norris put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Beatrice. The Titans claimed a resounding 45-0 win over the Orangemen. Considering the Titans have won six games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Norris to victory were Evan Greenfield and Markus Nelson. Greenfield threw for 217 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes, while Nelson rushed for 138 yards and one TD on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 77 yards. Chris Garner Jr. was in the mix as well, providing Norris with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Norris was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beatrice only rushed for 36.

Norris didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kyson Gana and Chase Ehlers.

Norris' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.0 points on average over those games. As for Beatrice, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Norris will face off against Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. As for Beatrice, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pius X at 7:00 p.m.
