South Winneshiek waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Postville Pirates get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

South Winneshiek's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Postville, they are on a 36-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Winneshiek will venture away from home to face off against Waverly-Shell Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Postville, they will head out to challenge Kee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
