Hope Christian won against Sandia Prep on Thursday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hope Christian Huskies put the hurt on the Sandia Prep Sundevils with a sharp 15-3 win. Surprisingly, this marked the eighth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Hope Christian got a massive performance out of Siena Sturgis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. What's more, Sturgis posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ella McFadden, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Hope Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .462 that Sandia Prep posted.

Hope Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sandia Prep, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Hope Christian will head out on the road to take on Eldorado at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandia Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shiprock at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sandia Prep has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
