Basketball Recap: Hubbard Piles Up the Points Against Badger

Hubbard posted their biggest victory since January 18, 2024 on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Badger Braves 52-22. The Eagles pushed the score to 48-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Braves cut but never quite recovered from.

Hubbard's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khamyah Howell, who posted 11 points along with six steals and five boards. Howell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Murphy, who had nine points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Hubbard was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hubbard and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Badger, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Hubbard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-26 defeat against South Range on the 6th. As for Badger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-22 win against St. John on the 9th.
