After two games on the road, Wapahani is heading back home. They will take on the Winchester Community Golden Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Wapahani didn't have too much trouble with Pendleton Heights on the road as they won 53-38.
Wapahani had a senior duo take command as Nick Cook scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and Isaac Andrews scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Andrews has scored at least 25% of Wapahani's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Luce, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Winchester Community at home against Randolph Southern on Friday as the team secured a 67-28 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winchester Community.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Wapahani's victory pushed their record up to 2-0, while Pendleton Heights' loss dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Wapahani against Winchester Community in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 80-47 victory. Will Wapahani repeat their success, or does Winchester Community have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
