Brooks' lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Curl, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Smith, who scored 15 points.
Brooks' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jacksonville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Brooks will head out on the road to face off against Marion at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marion presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brooks in Illinois (Marion is ranked 188th, while Brooks is ranked 424th). As for Jacksonville, they will take on O'Fallon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
