The Kingstree Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Lee Central Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kingstree will be strutting in after a victory while Lee Central will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Kingstree never let their opponents score. They blew past Mullins, posting a 52-0 victory on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Kingstree as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Rodney Bryant was on fire: he rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Javian Mccrea was in the mix too, providing Kingstree with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Lee Central came up short against Andrews on Monday and fell 40-30. Lee Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kingstree's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lee Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Kingstree against Lee Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 36-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingstree since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
