It's playoff time, and Southwest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the South Dade Buccaneers 11-4 on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Southwest let Jorge Lacher and Dylan Duarte run wild. Lacher went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Duarte went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Lacher has posted since back in February. Orisjoe Valdes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Southwest, bringing their record up to 16-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for South Dade, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-12 record.

Southwest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Buccaneers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
