If the Elkhart Wildcats were feeling good off their 45-21 takedown of the Sublette Larks last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Elkhart took a serious blow against Boise City on Friday, falling 59-32. Elkhart was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Boise City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Elkhart had strong showings from Camila Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Madyson Brillhart, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season.
Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Boise City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Elkhart will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Deerfield at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Boise City will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Felt at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Felt is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
