The Emerald Vikings won the last time they faced the Chester Cyclones, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Emerald claimed a resounding 63-32 victory over the Cyclones on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Emerald.
Emerald was led to victory by Adrianna Smith and Ti'yonia Tennant. Smith dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Tennant almost dropped a double-double on 19 rebounds and nine steals. Tennant is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ryonna Talbert, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Emerald's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Chester, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emerald will take on the Yellowjackets at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Union County is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Chester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
