Elizabeth McKenzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rachel Miura was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Ava Marks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Corinth Holders' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Southeast Raleigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Southeast Raleigh has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .540. However, it's not like Corinth Holders struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
