Hortonville is 1-9 against Neenah since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hortonville Polar Bears' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Neenah Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. One thing working in Hortonville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Hortonville only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 36-point they dealt Appleton West on Tuesday. Hortonville blew past Appleton West 75-39 on the road. Given Hortonville's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Appleton West is ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Neenah entered their tilt with Indian Trail with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Neenah strolled past Indian Trail with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-44.
Hortonville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Neenah, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Hortonville skirted past Neenah 84-82 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hortonville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
