The Boulder Panthers will square off against the Prairie View Thunderhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
While Boulder's win against Northglenn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Norsemen 8-7 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Norsemen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Finn Torvik was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Gavin Nguyen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Prairie View came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Wolves. The Thunderhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
Preston Miller and Giovanni Tarin made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Miller tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tarin pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Miller has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Miller went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Tarin earned one run and two stolen bases.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jerry Stone, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Jael Peralta also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Prairie View's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Boulder, their record is now 8-9.
Boulder might still be hurting after the 15-4 defeat they got from Prairie View in their previous meeting on April 8th. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
