Ingomar is a perfect 5-0 against Strayhorn since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, Ingomar made easy work of Hickory Flat and carried off a 14-2 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Lily Reese Mask made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Mask was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Abby Miller was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tyrani Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
Ingomar hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Strayhorn). They put the hurt on Water Valley with a sharp 20-3 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Ingomar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Strayhorn, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-15.
Everything went Ingomar's way against Strayhorn in their previous meeting back in February, as Ingomar made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
