Hampshire Regional is a perfect 10-0 against Agawam since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Brownies at 4:30 p.m. Hampshire Regional is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Hampshire Regional's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Easthampton/Hampshire 13-0. Considering the Raiders have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Rachael Hickox made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Caelyn Thayor was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelsea Vanasse, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Agawam, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against West Springfield by a score of 5-2 on Monday.
Avery Gordon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Georgina, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Hampshire Regional pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Agawam, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hampshire Regional's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Agawam, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hampshire Regional continue to outrun the ball?
Hampshire Regional skirted past Agawam 4-2 in their previous meeting on April 4th. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brownies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
