After both having extra time off, the James Logan Colts and the Newark Memorial Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. James Logan is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, James Logan narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Washington 3-2.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 26-24, 27-25, 24-26, 22-25, 15-8.

James Logan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austin Milton, who had 11 digs. Milton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Travis Bui was another key player, getting 18 assists and six digs.
Meanwhile, Newark Memorial came up short against Moreau Catholic last Thursday, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Newark Memorial was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 27-25.
James Logan pushed their record up to 17-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Newark Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.
James Logan took their victory against Newark Memorial in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
