The Springfield Tigers can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They blew past Lowellville 47-25. The victory was just what Springfield needed coming off of a 47-18 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Lowellville saw an underclassman step up: Sydney Procick scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Springfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Lowellville, they bumped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will take on McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McKinley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 773rd, while Springfield is ranked 283rd). As for Lowellville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mineral Ridge at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Mineral Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
