Kickapoo is 9-0 against Glendale since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Kickapoo Chiefs will head out on the road to square off against the Glendale Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kickapoo comes in on 11 and Glendale on four.
Kickapoo stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over West Plains. Given Kickapoo's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while West Plains is ranked 32nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Glendale's strategy against Lebanon on Monday. Glendale took down Lebanon 68-50.
Kickapoo pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Glendale, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season.
Kickapoo strolled past Glendale when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 78-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kickapoo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
