It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Seffner Christian Crusaders had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 74-71. The win was some much needed relief for Seffner Christian as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Frostproof still got an impressive performance from Sevastian Rosado, who scored 35 points along with five assists and three steals. That was a full 49.3% of Frostproof's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Turral Berry, who scored 21 points.
Seffner Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Frostproof, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.
Seffner Christian will head out on the road to challenge Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 contests -- so hopefully Seffner Christian likes a good challenge. Frostproof does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
