The Valley Lutheran Flames will square off against the Anthem Prep Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Lutheran has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Larson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Israel Navarro also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Anthem Prep got themselves on the board against Antelope on Tuesday, but Antelope never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Rams. Considering the Eagles have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaxon MacHugh was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Starr, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Wherley, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Valley Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Anthem Prep, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Valley Lutheran has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Anthem Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
