Rogers was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Elkmont on Friday. The Pirates took their game with ease, bagging a 62-28 victory over the Red Devils. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Nicholas Grigsby produced another solid effort rushing for 245 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also picking up 31 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was C.J. Davis, who rushed for 48 yards and three scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Rogers proved: they limited Elkmont to a paltry 1.6 yards per carry. The Pirates didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.4.

Cooper Wales and Reid Bardos certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wales picked up 248 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Bardos threw for 356 yards and four TDs. Wales' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Burgess, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one score.

Rogers now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Elkmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Rogers didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-28 loss against Lexington on the 30th. As for Elkmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 59-32 defeat against Ardmore on the 30th.
