The North Community Polars suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-34 walloping at the hands of Roosevelt. North Community has not had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Wren, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Jaida Walker, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
North Community bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
North Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Roosevelt, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Washburn at 7:00 p.m. Washburn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Roosevelt is ranked 54th).
