Liberty was the  2-0 winner over Riverdale Ridge when they last played one another  back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Liberty Lancers fell just short of the Riverdale Ridge Ravens  by a score of  2-1 on Saturday. While the Lancers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ravens   25-18 in the first  set.
 Liberty started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-12,  15-13.
  Adaleigh Winterhalter paced Liberty's offense, picking up four kills. Winterhalter got some help from 
 Cadence Schaffer and her nine assists. Winterhalter was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
 Liberty dropped their record down to 3-19 with the  loss, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Riverdale Ridge, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record  this season.
 Liberty will take on Pueblo Centennial in a tournament  on Saturday. As for Riverdale Ridge, they are on the road again  on Saturday to play Pueblo East at 3:00  p.m.
